Aww Zoey is a cutie! My dog Chloe also had her left back leg amputated recently (5 days ago). We have 5 stairs that go up to the kitchen and whenever we got back from a bathroom break, instead of heading back into the living room where we mostly stay all day, she would stand and stare at the stairs. I kept telling her, not yet, not yet, but she would just stare for 5 min and it would take forever to get her to budge. Last night, doing the same stare routine, all of a sudden she started hobbling up the stairs and to my amazement made it all the way up no problem! I was a bit slow on the uptake because I was in a bit of shock. Guess she really wanted to get up the stairs… We toured the kitchen and dining room on leash and sling to let her know she wasn’t missing out on anything cool.
Chloe and I wish Zoey a speedy recovery!
yea! we are on day 15 with our rear leg amputee Ajax – he’s doing pretty well making his own decisions. Zoey is lucky to be able to go to work w/ you. Ajax expects Chloe and Zoey to catch up soon (as his surgery is was earlier) and says hang in there!
Zoey is adorable!! 🙂 Looks like she’s happy to be at work with her mommy… Hope she heals quickly and continues to do well!
